T’ai Chi is an ancient form of exercise that originated in ancient China as a martial art. Today it is more often taught as a set of gentle and meditative movements that improve the flow of energy in our body leading to greater awareness, calmness and a greater sense of well-being.

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn what T’ai Chi is and where it came from
  • Learn basics of posture, stepping and breathing
  • Learn several of the T’ai Chi movements
  • Learn a mini-routine of movements
  • Watch a demonstration of the full form of movements
  • Meet the T’ai Chi instructors

If you are interested in the upcoming Natick Rec Department T’ai Chi classes, but not sure what they are all about, this is a great opportunity to get a taste. Classes will start Monday, January 22nd.
